Ok. I was parked at the side of the road this morning as I was 10 minutes early for a lesson. Car decides to park directly opposite and blocked the road. I know this happens frequently when most of us are on lessons, but as I was on my own I decided to make conversation with the offender. I asked how he thought cars would get by (there was ample room for him to park before me or after me as there was only 1 other car parked on the road which was a long way ahead). His response was I have to park here because I live here. This person wasnt English so I dont know if they teach differently in other countries when they are learning but surely the same rules would apply. I asked him if he was driving down the road and seen the 2 cars opposite with all the other space on the road what hed think. He just replied with the same answer. I just said Ok. Ill move for you then shall I? And moved my car along the road a few car lengths. Why do people think its their devine right to park in front of their house at all times?
