Ok... I will now admit to be the enemy... I have been a guitar - TopicsExpress

Ok... I will now admit to be the enemy... I have been a guitar player for about 30 years, but I also play the bass and keys, and I am a trained vocalist. I had bought my son a guitar and amp, but he wanted to do bass primarily instead... So Daddy hooked him up with some good starter gear. Here is a picture with an Ibanez 305 I got used for 229(normally 400) and I found an Ampeg 112 used for 99 (normally279)... I have a Rumble 350 in my jam room at my warehouse he can use too, but I think that Ampeg sounds pretty good, its 50 watts I believe. I am an advanced guitar player and proficient at bass for my own recordings, and I cant teach anything regarding theory and scales etc, but I dont play with fingers much and do limited pop and slap. Maybe I will work on those things with him. He just turned 14 and he is over 6 tall, taller than me... and he is very proud to be the best tuba player his age around... He just doesnt realize hes the only tuba player his age around. But I think its helped him relate to the low end of music more .Any advice to give him Ill pass on to him as he learns to drive the bus. I have told him to look at youtube for free videos. Thanks for reading.
