Ok Im feeling the need to unload! I have a New Years Resolution for you Ladies that checked my lulu in to the ED this afternoon for Lab work. Look up the definition of Empathy! Work on your people skills! Or find a new job. No wonder people dont like going into the ER. Now I understand you deal with a lot of drug users and angry people and its stressful but you have the choice to work that job. What happened to Treat eachother how you would want to be treated?? Or How can I help you?? Obviously people are there to be helped. I am so angry I could spit nails! Its not even Shark Week. My husband asks for a clean room to wait in your response Were Full in your snotty ass attitude! Then my husband says well Ill just hover right here then. Lulu is so susceptible and you want her to wait in the germ filled waiting room?? All you cared about was our insurance information. You didnt want them hovering by you so you lead them to The Family Room wich was also filthy! What did you think we would just lay her on the floor so you could draw her blood? Tell me how the nice lady that came to draw lulu found her a clean room if you were full?? I am a nice person I think for the most part considering . I however will not let my child be treated that way. What do I say to my child when she asks why you were so mean? Or why you wouldnt help her? The Emergency Department is our LAST resort and because our normal lab was closed we had to bring her there. These labs are so important. I work my ass off at home trying to keep her healthy. I should not have to say she has a heart transplant to be treated better. See you didnt know she was Heart Transplant kid, you didnt even ask?? The point Im sure we would of been cared for better if you knew. Right??? Im guessing would you assume Im a drug user because of my piercings and crazy Blonde hair too right? Its very disheartening, the lack of compassion and empathy in a health care facility or anywhere for that matter. I will be filing a complaint. NOW more importantly Lulus labs didnt look as horrible as we would suspect. Ive been pushing fluid through her tube today and that has saved us an IV. She is borderline dehydrated but is sustaining with fluids at home. Round the clock Zofran Tylenol and Immodium and love from her mommy who is a bit of a MomZilla at the moment. She is so pale and dark under the eyes but is upright and alert. Periodic coloring and playtime. They did draw a culture just to be sure nothing Bacterial is happening. Its a slippery slope with Lulu. One day at a time all the time. Now that I have rid myself of all that negative energy I feel better. Thanks for listening.
