Ok, Im going to take the credit on this one also. Many years ago, INDOT was taking suggestions about the US31 upgrade. One of my ideas was to have a small wire mesh along the walls and plant flowering creeping vines to cover the walls. At the City Council meeting about the Towers, I talked with an INDOT engineer who I met previously at Westfields last US31 public meeting. Each time in the past, I pushed for these vines to cover the bland walls. Well, this engineer told me that they were doing this on some of the overpasses. No wire mesh necessary. I didnt see them until today. Video of northbound 151st ramp to US31. Getting ready to plant them soon.
