Ok, Im heading to my favorite library to take a book out the old fashioned way...why not, the downtown Delray Beach library is one of very few privately funded libraries in the United States which incidentally has the most outrageous second floor, a 150 tall ceiling with the most beautiful tong and grove ceiling, natural lighting...its a great space. Ill never forget my year volunteering in the reference dept., all the usual and unusual people who I would meet every day as they walked up the 2 short flights of stairs to experience the magic of the 2nd floor. On any given day, the surprises were many- a senior exploring Buddha, a young girl looking for reference books on the stage set of the original Wizard of Oz for her paintings or just the usual meanderers looking at the daily art exhibit, gawking a the ceiling or just perusing the aisles.
