Ok Ive held on to this....Since news of this broke I was immediately impacted as a University Practitioner. The touches me on a deeper level too...you see Myron was my fraternity brother...and I make no apologies about it. What pains me about this is the thought of offering help and concern for our brother without the fear of being seen as less than a man, or weak, or (insert a de-masculating adjective here of your choice). We sit in these group mes and secret Facebook groups laughing without knowing, but they ALWAYS tell us. By all accounts Myron was a successful man, who was very sick and attempted to tell countless times. Something is making us fearful of truly being Our brothers keeper OUR fraternities have to be ok with focusing on the issues of the HUMANS that make up our brotherhood. We are not all machines that carry the traditions of step shows, tailgates, and turn-ups...talks of girls, probates, and line names. We are people with people issues and problems that our organizations have a duty to recognize and help through. Am I saying that we will solve all the mental health issues? no...but Im willing to bet if more brothers were BROTHERS...then people wont feel so alone...#GOMAB
