Ok. Lots to do on the home front, so Im signing off of FB for the rest of the day. So much going right now in this world, its hard to keep it all on the radar. For every story known and shared, there are countless unheard, unknown. Holding space for those unknowns in my heart. We cannot know everything (although the internet might delude us that we can). We cannot direct our energies towards everything. We must take care of ourselves, our families, the personal terrain of our hearts. We must get outside, enjoy the moment, watch a sunset, sip tea... Thankfully, there are many people out here, and we can all carry a piece of the awareness, of the action, of the changes that must be made. For today, I leave you with this. These cultural and environmental attacks on indigenous people happen far too quietly most of the time. Here is a video put together by Indigenous Rising, a campaign of the Indigenous Environmental Network. The Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC is happening now in Lima, Peru, from Dec. 1st until the 12th. Visions are forming and decisions are being made.
