To neuter or not to neuter?: That might be the question Much controversy has arisen around the subject of spaying and neutering of pet dogs. Dr. Kimmelman will share with us current information on the best age to spay and neuter, whether all dogs should be altered and her experience as a practitioner in both private practice and shelter medicine which have helped formed her own opinions on this very polarizing subject. She will entertain questions and answers after her presentation. About Dr. Kimmelman Dr. Phyllis Kimmelman received her veterinary degree in 1983 from The Ohio State University. Her private practice experience includes three years in Food Animal medicine, 10 years in Shelter medicine while also in Companion Animal medicine for 31 years. Her special interests include theriogenology (reproduction) and internal medicine.
