Ok People, Having a fight with your loved one is like boxing……. You both arrive with records and egos and the sole intent to decimate your opponent. Step into the ring, introductions are made aaaaaaand DING! The bell signifies the start of the match. >>> Something kicks it off. You move about the ring, sizing each other up. >>> Guards immediately go up and you’re looking to see what they are coming at you with. A jab or two are thrown to check the reach and establish confidence. >>> you are feeling them out and checking for the weak points in their argument At some point, the two of you meet in the middle of the rig and go at ti >>> The fussing begins An exchange of body shots are thrown/some hits, some misses. >>> Points are presented/ some valid, some irrelevant There is the slipping of jabs. >>> Deflecting and dismissing of things you want to avoid takes place Ever-so-often, combos are landed. >>> Your arguments and points are linked and come in rapid succession causing a premature sense of victory to come. They throw a counter punch. >>>and disrupt your well placed tongue lashing. A couple blows to the head can causes one to be discombobulated momentarily >>> Get hit with a totally unexpected question or point and needing to regroup The exchange of punches continues and then someone eventually punches below the belt out of desperation. >>> Something totally uncalled for, hurtful and/or disrespectful is said because they have nothing left to fend off attack. Remember, for every punch you throw below the belt points get taken away and can even get you disqualified >>> That person continues to be hurt, will continue to lose respect for you and pushes them further away There are many tactics in your arsenal you can use to try and win….. >>>Looking for a KO by throwing haymakers- trying to hit them with one big thing to cancel all of theirs >>>Outscoring them-pointing out that they made more mistakes than you >>>Beating them into submission-they just give up on trying to make their point because you won’t let up >>>Letting them punch themselves out- wait until they run out of things to say and forget the point they were trying to make and them pounce on them with your best combo and some flurries. So there you stand/ bloody, beaten up, exhausted, swollen, in pain, cut and bruised after Jabs-Uppercuts-Crosses-Hooks-Right hand leads-Haymakers-Low Blows mixed with Parries-slips-slides-footwork-counters-retreats & tie ups to catch your breath have gotten you to this moment of waiting for the announcement of the victor. And the winner is …..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even if you won, remember this: *The undefeated will one day suffer a humiliating upset *The loser almost always wants a rematch and the next time they will be more prepared *If they lose to you too many times, you will eventually break their spirit and they will cease to care enough to even make a point to you. They will either retire or move on to compete in another division (leave your azz) *The champ will one day be over the hill *Opponents either choose not to fight you because they can never win or you fight too long past your prime and ruin your legacy *Even THE GREATEST (Paying homage to Ali) to ever play the sport is feeling the effects of his wins AND his losses to this very day.
