Ok #Redskins faithful. Let me tell break this down for you. DJax is a top reciever entering the prime of his career. He would want/deserve/command a 5-6 year 50-70 million dollar contract with 25 - 30 million guaranteed. BUT if he is out for revenge/showing the league he is not Tookie Williams, he MAY take a 1 year 5-6 million dollar contract. Now, the Redskins per ProTrac have 6.7 Million under the cap. They need 2 mill or so to sign their draft pics. So Ill be generous, lets say we have 5 million under the Cap for free agency. If we Sign Jax for 5 mill, that means No Ryan Clark, no Right Tackle no Owen Daniels no Kenny Britt (thank God) no resigning Adam Carriker when he gets healthy. Lots of holes. To take it a step further they may HAVE to resign Orakpo to a long term deal to soak up his cap hit. So thats why financially its not a good idea..... any questions?
