Ok. Remember a few days ago I posted the phrase ego is ones amigo which is the underlying energy for these partially crafted paintings and sculptures. Well, they have come a little ways into existence so I guess the explanation should coincide. So if we think the ego (fried egg like shapes) is real and controls ones behavior then it also has a negative connotation. What my definition is, is that the term ego is a concept (mental content) and projection of ones mind and as such describes a misconception known as self...self as a independent solid phenomenon separated from other phenomenon. If this sounds Buddhist well it is. Now, if ego is our enemy then this is also a dualistic scenario which implies lack of control in remedying the root cause. Although it can be argued that enemies are quite a lot more useful in spiritual pursuit than friends who tend to reinforce our ego illusion. Anyhow even as a Friend one can work with the ego to benefit others and disolve the idea of a mewhich will surely lead to a more joyful experience of life....
