Ok... Since Im gay and a very new age look on life... I just got scolded by a self proclaimed saint about how Im demon possessed because I believe stones have the ability to heal (which actually does have some scientific explanation, hence the bracelets that imp prove balance and so on) and he wants to pray my gay demons away... Heres what Ive got to say to that... The new age practice teaches people to experience life and build a path of enlightenment based on their own experiences and philosophies found in life and in the earth, everywhere around us... Organized religion, namely Christianity (since so called Christians are the ones I get attacked by every now and again... Well, and people who are hard core alien/illuminati believers) teaches that there is only one truth and you either follow it or go to hell... And that truth is written by man in book and roughly translated again and again and again... Not to mention the fact that the whole bible is not even included in the book Christians so desperately cling to... Thats right, there are many books, chapters, and verses that were left out. In both the new testament and old. I have studied many paths and many religions in my life. And I have personal experiences in my life that I have a good grasp on (in the paranormal for example) but Christians who are closed minded feel their truth is the one and only... And tell me what my experiences were and what they think happened, as if they were there and know it first hand. If people would just sit down, shut up, and openly listen to others... They would realize that there are many different truths and stories in life. Like a 10 million piece puzzle with not a hint of what the big picture looks like. Many people look at some of the colors and dots and say this is what the picture is and fight for that idea, without actually taking the time to sort through the pieces and put any of them together... Has it not occurred to anyone that most religions (even ancient polytheistic religions) were all at one point one story that got changed as people drifted and languages multiplied. Like gossip, changing in to 1000 different stories that were all descended from one? People of all religions believe in their faith... And its not for no reason, when they pray, do spells, or whatever... theres obviously some results or else nobody would believe in it any longer... Perhaps there is no god or goddess... Maybe its all your own will being magnified because of a belief and faith in someone or something beside yourself. My point is, do not start calling peoples beliefs BS and forcing religious opinions down peoples throats when you A; really havent thought about it from all points of view. B; hardly know what youre actually judging in the first place... And C; hardly even know the faith youre claiming to be a saint of. There is so much more that what you see in any books or what youre told by others... Search for answers to the questions you have through taking it all in and experiencing life for yourself. I have been told by many that I am far wiser than most people they know and far beyond my years... This is precisely the reason why. I am open, I look from all points of view possible, I spend hours upon hours everyday thinking and paying attention to the earth and world around me. And I put my faith in that... Life itself... Not from a bible, not from a spell book, not from mythology, other people, or even the 8 fold path. Im not saying Im perfect, but you also dont see me pushing religious and philosophical ideas on people either unless Im defending myself or someone else whos being victimized or harrased. If I am shaking your faith in whatever you believe in, good. It means you have humanity and know how to think for yourself. If youre thinking this poor boy needs saved. or youre all wrong, because this book or this person says so. Than please, keep it to yourself. Youre screwing up my chakras....
