Ok. So I was a lil hungry tonight so I meandered to CJs to grub and reminisce of the HA days. I opted to grab an extra drink and chicken sandwich to give to the homeless man sitting outside. I approached the guy and asked him if he was hungry while extending out the drink and sandwich. Not only did he deny the food but also yelled at me. What?! Then... Being resolute in my charity, I walk along the street determining to find someone to bless with this food. Nobody. Nobondy around. What?! So eventually I ate it because it was getting cold and drank the medium Sprite because... its Sprite. Finishing the food and sipping the drink I keep looking. Feeling like I missed an opportunity I see this guy across the street carrying a sleeping bag and I go to speak to him but hes walking away from the light toward a darker area. But Ive got no food to give him because I ate it. #fail I do the next best thing because CJs is across the street. I reach in my pocket to give him the last $4 in cash I have. His reaction was priceless. Cautiously stepping backward signaling that he doesnt want my cash. Youd think I offered him olives or something illegal (I hate olives). He eventually turned and avoided me at all costs. So all in all I walked, ate, drank, got fat, pressured people and creeped in the dark for attempting to be charitable tonight. LOL. This never happens. What?! Maybe I looked like that guy... IDK. Good night.
