Ok Steubenville St. Louis Mid America and all Steubenville Conferences, we are starting our Lectio Divina Challenge. It is a call to daily prayer with the word. Here is the scoop: 1) Every day I ask you open scripture with me and sit with the Lord. We talked about P.R.A.Y. at Steubenville which stands for (Praise Repent, Ask and Yeah) PRAISE GOD. (Here is a list of title of Jesus) REPENT (Ask for forgiveness, where have you fallen short) ASK (Listen and share your heart intimately) YEAH (Thanksgiving, sitting in silence to listen) 2)Then do Lectio Divina with the gospel readings from Mass. (You can find the readings below or google daily readings.) 2) Remind me: How do you do Lectio Divina, Again? Great question! It is about meditating on scripture slowly. Read it three times asking the Holy Spirit to speak to you highlighting a phrase or part of reading to meditate on. I will attach a link to help you. 4) AFTER YOU are done with prayer.
