Ok Steve, Brian and Tom. I just watched the UGA/Tech game and it was a classic!! The swings of emotion for both sides! Wow! The gigantic elephant in the room was the ending of the game in regulation and how it was handled by Richt. And he so pulled a Mike Smith and grabbed defeat in the jaws of victory. 2 major mistakes - 1) the obvious one, no reason to not let Morgan kick it through the back of the endzone, and Tech had only a 12 yd and 18 yd return earlier, the others were touch backs. 2) Richt called timeout to ice Butker, and this was another huge mistake! Techs fg team ran onto the field late, as they were still lining up, the play clock was at 4 seconds, and then called his TO. Richt could and should have let Tech hike it and let Butker just kick it without any readiness. Tech played outstanding on the line of scrimmage too. They were a wall after that successful fake fg, which UGA is bigger and stronger than them, but Tech wanted it more. You credit Johnson for that, and you criticize Richt for that as well. UGA had that game won, but horrible decisions by Richt allowed Tech to have a chance. And to their credit, they didnt fold under the pressure, like their opponents! What a game!! FSU next Steve, I hope they can muster some of that determination one more week and finish this special season with an ACC championship!
