Ok all you bakers.. I am very new to baking bread and I can see where this is most definitely a craft! My Amish friendship bread didnt rise as much as Id like and I think it might be due to the quality of the starter as I didnt feed on a day I was supposed to. We shall see with the next batch I make. Now the sourdough made me nervous but worked up as a dough gorgeously. I decided to make rolls but didnt score them well enough and I tell you that matters. I am hoping the bit of extra dough I have left will show me if the non proper scoring is why they split a bit here and there. Hmm.. Fun times experimenting in the kitchen! ~ Nancie
