Ok, an open discussion guys. For quite a while now i have been warned by concerned friends to stop talking about issues, especially those issues which somehow easily make me seem like an enemy of Government of Botswana. Most people tell me Lorraine people are varnishing in our country, be careful I must admit though that for some reason i am just not scared. And thats not to imply that i am in anyway built in any special way, i have my own fears too but to allow fears to determine my destiny is something i will not do. We all have fears, every single one of us, but i personally view fear positively, because it really offers you a great opportunity to grow. Make friends with fear and you will be pleasantly surprised to see just how much it has to offer. Anyway we handle things differently, i am just saying that is what helps me move on boldly, because i befriend fear and me and my fears have a harmonic understanding.... well now and then naturally we fall out, it happens in all relationships.. Anyway enough about me. What i would really like to know from you guys is, how, why and when did we become a nation that lives in fear of being assassinated? Why as a motswana should i be afraid that i may varnish if i try to address issues that concern us all? If we are as peaceful as we claim, why is it that when a prominent politician passes away, many of us quickly suspect foul play before even looking in to the matter further? Why do some of us suspect some of our leaders are corrupt murderers? please enlighten us if you have a better understanding of this...... How exactly did we get here?
