Ok big rant regarding FASTWAYS BRISBANE couriers- I have resisted putting this on FB until now. My sons computer screen/hard drive was sent to his new home in Brisbane from Townsville back in January. Only the hard drive was delivered, no screen, left outside in rain for days at an upstairs door not readily seen. Clear instructions were given for this not to be left without being signed and collected by someone (a form needs to be signed for it to be left if no one answers anyhow). Only upon enquiring into the whereabouts did he discover the harddrive was at the house but online it said both items were delivered, although no signature was present online (thats because no one collected or signed...!!). So here starts the numerous phone calls, claimforms and emails that were never apparently received , re-sends, fobbed off, roadblocked, disrespected by some staff (not all though, some were helpful) being told info was sent back to Townsville for full enquiry (spoke with them but it hadnt been- I had to send it to them myself!) no responses, claim forms...so then the actual franchisee of Brisbane goes around to my kids house to look at the scenario of where goods were left, speaks to the kids, all lovely, so apologetic and is now taking matters in to his own hands . Great, so were lead to believe that there is some decency and this will be now properly handled- so Ive stepped back- I had made mention of Fair trading but gave them the chance. Some calls, a re-visit and promises, passing by some more time, Mr franchisee has organised a new screen BUT turns out it was no where near as good as the one missing. My son kindly declines, so this guy tries to make a deal with him to pay him $50 a week. Upon hearing this, in steps mumma bear again... well this sly salesman tried talking me around in circles, excuses, hes got other bills, I did organise him a screen, wholesale from a friend (interesting....), your son suggested $50 a week- which is BULLSHIT!! blablabla... regardless of what I said- of course at this point it was totally confirmed that he was being completely dodgy and underhanded and its now apparent that his previous actions were to keep it away from claims and insurance, be underhanded and trying to manipulate a 17 year old in the process, without a parent around. So the call to fair trading has now occurred, another email and three hours later here I am. So why the extra 20 minutes on this status?? Ive spent countless HOURS of time and money on this, we can only get back what we paid- which is not received yet and I have yet to see what crap I have to deal with next- BUT ITS THE FLAMING PRINCIPLE, not the money!! My advice- if you have to send anything to Brisbane DONT USE FASTWAYS. Townsville Fastways were lovely and as helpful as possible, but its out of their hands once it gets to Brisbane!!!!
