Ok braces off and one would think I would be totally off the wall thrilled, but when I looked in the mirror to brush my teeth, I did not recognize the person looking back at me. I altered myself, my crooked little cute smile that separated me from the norm is gone. I learned to love my smile and its gone. Silly huh. I would not have done this if my jaw was never broken, I was thrilled to learn that braces where a medical need to adjust my jaw....thinking awesome I can get a perfect smile, but I think I just realized my smile was already perfect, it was the one God gave me. I am actually pretty sad.
