Ok daily update on Mom they had to put a line in to give her Ivs and take blood because she has horrible veins and they are putting her through too much trying to get them in. She is basically the same mentally she doesnt remember getting sick, why she is in the hospital, what year it is and various other facts. Shes still in ICU, we wont know if the diarrhea is an infection for at least three more days. Her white count is up but only slightly. Unfortunately due to transportation issues I wont be able to get back up there till Friday or Saturday. It takes roughly calling 20 times before I can get her nurse and talk to her because they are so busy (saw this firsthand for the 5 days I slept there). She still keeps saying either Ronald Regan or George Bush are president and if someone says Obama she makes a face or groans so apparently some things still work pretty good. Im very frustrated and tired trying to get info on the phone is difficult and I really wish she wasnt so far away. If anyone has any questions just message me on here and I will be happy to tell you anything I know Im trying to keep everyone updated the very best I can. We have a donation page that my daughter started and right now Im not above begging because we are desperate. It has been one week since this all started and they are saying she will probably be in ICU for weeks, then regular hospital for more weeks, and then rehab. Its somewhat like a stroke victim mentally but shes not paralyzed at least. When David starts his new job the end of August,it will be rough but we will be able to handle it better. Right now we have no income and have gone through our savings. Everyone who knows me knows I pinch pennies till they scream but when there is nothing to work with even I cant work miracles. The church gave us a food box so at least we have that it should last about a week after that I have no clue, plus gas to get to Vegas, whatever repairs the car needs and of course utilities. Not trying to whine just feel very overwhelmed. Mom is a difficult person with strong opinions but she also has a very big heart and doesnt need to feel like we dont care and she is all alone. Also if anyone can please send a get well card so she can look at them when she wakes up it would help a lot. ICU doesnt like mail coming in so just send it to me or her address and I will take it up when I go Friday or Saturday.
