Ok doing this via phone so sorry...no wild editing of the surface map. We have a cold front slowly dragging across GoMex. This will prompt some Southerly impulses today and tomorrow. Might see some low level jetting allow for 12-16kts S/SSW into Tuesday as an Atlantic High pressure center just east of FL keeps the southerly flow going ahead of it. Enter rain and mixed emotions about the wind and what just happened or didnt. Behind this front on Wednesday, we have High pressure wedging eastwards and a pretty good shot at NNE/NE post-frontal flow increasing as the gradient builds between the systems. All of this done looking at a 4 x 8 Droid screen via ~100 to 150 miles up through the eye of a sattelite. We can talk about pre-frontal secondary intercardinal directions SSE/SbSE/S/SbSWerlies along the ridge axis if you want, but its a long story. In other words.... TODAY: No wind MONDAY: Modest wind 9-13 kts. Might see a couple of extra bones with any pre-frontal builds. I know. That just sounds weird. TUESDAY: Possible moderate winds 12-16kts...higher overall speeds out over the outer inner banks of the urban islands. Whatever that means. (At least some of us understand it). WEDNESDAY: Moderate NNE/NEerlies down across the bay and venturiing out of the channel into nothingness. Looking for 15-20kts on this one as cool air advects over the warm waters. SST (water temps): Gulf @ 67 and the Bay @ 70. #KiteJam #baynews9 #ChucktownWindReport #klystron9 #flwx #tampawx #WindAlert #iKitesurf #iWindsurf #SailFlow #FishWeather #WeatherFlow #gulfwx
