Ok...dont spect Ill get a lot of comments/likes on this one...but for the past 2 days Ive read and listened to rants about the Grand Jurys decision re: Darren Wilson... Its discouraging that there are not more intellectually stimulating commentary from very educated individuals... This issue has little to nothing to do with protecting our black children as much as it does with dealing with the systemic issues plaguing our culture. For instance, who of all those rioting across the nation are developing programs to prevent the Michael Browns in our communities from making poor life choices that led to our recent events? Who of those who actually have a voice and position of influence is speaking up (intelligibly) other than on a FB post? If we want to get upset lets be upset that the educational, economic and religious systems failed this young man and will continue to do so if we do not stand up in this generation as for real leaders and not mere propagandists. Opinions about the matter are just that...and everyone has one...how about we start a real movement as real leaders and enact some real change...because walking down freeways, burning down our own neighborhoods, and being a throwback Black Panther on social media only perpetuates the culture we in many ways are too self-absorbed and afraid to change.
