Ok everyone, just to give a heads up.... There is a possibility of some strong to severe storms through the overnight hours. Particularly in the southwestern portion of the state. As the night/early morning progresses this threat will move east. We arent expecting any severe weather over night here in the southeastern portions of the state, but the southwestern portions need to be on the lookout for developing storms in the wee hours of the morning. Unless these storms gain speed, they should hit the wiregrass area right around or shortly after 8am. This line of storms will extend northward through the Tennessee valley. There is a SLIGHT chance of a spin up of a tornado, yes thats right, a SLIGHT chance in November for a tornado or two associated with this incoming line of storms. The dewpoints reaching near to almost 70 gives enough instability in the atmosphere along with a mid level jet stream that is picking up speed to cause the chance of a few tornadoes to pop up. Now we dont foresee any major outbreak, and those spin ups should be mildly weak in nature, but we felt the need to forewarn you all of that possibility. Southwestern Alabama get your weather radios up and going for tonight, and southeastern Alabama get them ready for early to mid morning. These lines have prompted several tornado warnings in Louisiana this evening and we look for them to produce some more through the over night hours. With Southwestern Alabama already in a Tornado Watch until 5am we expect to see Southeastern Alabama shortly after 5am to see a watch box as well.
