Ok everyone .... were going to be putting on a Show Clinic on May 10 & 11 here at Dragonfire Dancing Horses. The clinic will be 9-4 both days. Were going to be covering show rules and regulations and teaching the kids what to expect in the show ring. Spectators are welcome to attend. The emphasis will be on 4H and AQHA Rules but participants and spectators do not need to be a 4H member to attend. We will not be covering AHSA or USEF rules at this clinic. We will focus on open and fun show expectations. Well be charging $25 a day to audit the clinic. PM me if you would like to attend and well save you a spot!! Heres the tentative schedule: SATURDAY: 9-10 -- Show Preparation (how to get your horse ready to show in hand (showmanship) includes halter fitting, grooming, clipping, etc. 10-11:30 - Showmanship 11:30 - Noon -- LUNCH Noon - 12:30 - Tacking up Western 12:30 - 4:00 - Western Pleasure and Western Horsemanship (neck reining) SUNDAY: 9-11:30 - Hunter Pleasure and Hunter Horsemanship (direct rein w/snaffle) 11:30 - Noon -- LUNCH Noon - 12:30 - Tacking up Western 12:30 - 4 - Trail and Game Overview (rules, patterns, and tips)
