Ok, first let me wish all those I missed this past week a belated Happy Birthday!! Now for the Rant. My FIOS went out Friday morning at 7am. Called Verizon after work Friday evening. You all know the routine, talk to a computer for several minutes before you get live help (or no help). Ready for this, are you sure, the earliest I can get it repaired is Tuesday, 5 days later!!!!!!! Can you believe this BS. So for the record people, while I have no complaints (up until now) regarding my Verizon service I find it completely unacceptable that if you have the Triple, Land line, TV and Internet, and you lose your power supply you lose all services for a minimum of 5 days. It gets worse! Im advised to call back Saturday morning to see if I can get an earlier date. We were advised, that we would be put on standby for Saturday (If someone becomes available) and were rescheduled for a technician to come to the house Sunday between the hours of 8-10am. Well 10 oclock comes and gos on Sunday and no Verizon. We call to check and are you ready for this one? The representative we spoke with Saturday morning had no authority to reschedule the repair and that Tuesday was still our scheduled repair. No phone calls nothing. Just several hours of wasted waiting for an inconsiderate service provider. Not blaming the techs, but Verizon, for allowing this to happen and thinking that this is an acceptable practice. The manager told me the average wait for repair in the NJ/NY metro area is 5 days. Average? That means that sometimes the wait is longer! For the record, if I can find a viable replacement for my Land line, TV, internet and I will throw in my 5 cell phones, Verizon can Kiss my . . . .
