Ok for crime victims- make sure when a prosecutor tells you the offender is going to plea to ask- what will the offender be pleading- guilty, nolo, Alford? This just came up in a case where the prosecutor, in my humble opinion, played cute with the term plea to avoid truly informing the victims family that there was to be an Alford plea- meaning the defendant doesnt admit guilt but rather pleas as to say the state has enough evidence to against me to convict but I admit nothing. Get the facts.
