Ok for everyone that knows me or my family. I and my wife Emily Thomas, gave birth to our identical twin boys december 28th 2013 (8months ago) 10 weeks early. At 29 weeks and 6 days. Due to sever preeclampsia. For everyone that doesnt know preeclampsia is high blood pressure during pregnancy. It has a very high mortality rate of not only the unborn child/children and the mother. My wife was borderline stroke pressures. My wife is still having residual effects. The boys are fine now and growing day to to day. But during the time I watxhed my wife and sons for the most part suffer with tubes, wires and meds. The separation along was un bearable. It was two weeks roughly before we could even hold them. And I wish it on no one. But with all of these challenges about different thing to raise awareness has got me thinking about what I have personally experienced. I challenge everyone to share this status with hash tag. #prematurityawareness and reach out to parents or future parents worldwide. What my wife had could have possibly be averted and managed we however didnt know. And if at all possible please donate $10-20 dollars to #marchofdimes not only to support research into premature births but to also help with the cost it takes to protect and keep these very little ones alive so they can also return to thier familys.
