Ok, for those of you that dont know or for those that are asking what in the world happened, here it is: Saturday night while talking on the phone with my sister Kara Sanford and sitting on my back patio, i stepped on a baby copperhead that bit the bottom of my foot. It was by far the worst pain i have EVER felt and i knew immediately it was venomous. my parents rushed me to the ER at Northeast Georgia Medical Center where they acted so fast my head was spinning. I had the presence of mind to take a picture so they knew for sure the snake was a copperhead. I was admitted into ICU and given 4 bags of Crofab (anti venom) which did not react well with my system and made me pretty darn sick. I was released yesterday...My foot looks like shrek :) and im still very sore and achy but so fortunate that i did not lose my foot or worse. The deal is, I had prayer chains activated immediately all over this country. I believe in the power of prayer and the power of Gods healing touch! Thank you for all the prayers and phone calls and messages. Special shout out to Keith Walker who had the privilege of talking me off the ledge on the LONG drive to the hosp. He even offered to sing to keep my mind off the spreading venom and pain lol. Thank you to Thomas Michael Sanford and Bonnie Plunkett Sanford who had to drive a very emotional and scared chick to the ER and to my sister, Kara Sanford who had to hear the whole ordeal unfold on the phone AND brought me chocolate :D. I am grateful for My mom, Merrily Eastling Lake who had all of Indian Springs praying for me and for Harold Lake Jr who drove almost an hour to lock eyes with me, pray for me and then leave b/c he knew i was in so much pain. And finally, thank you Jan Frisch-Strickland who drove 45 min just to wash my hair b/c you know how nasty you feel when your hair isnt washed. lol. Again, thank you so much for all your thoughts and prayers!!!!
