Ok, guess I have to play too...Im so Philly I had a VIP card to Revival in high school, remember the two-way mirrored bathrooms at Black Banana and danced there with a guy on roller skates (Master J maybe?!) when Josh Wink and Dozia and King Britt were in the house. I shopped at Nan Duskin with my mom and Zipperhead and Oodles with my friends, saw Rocky Horror at the TLA, ate my fries at Ishkabibbles and Little Petes and Diner on the Square, bought Marlboro lights from a street vendor at 3 packs for $5 on the walk to school, hitched a ride in Barry Leonard Crimpers limo when it was too cold or we were running late for school, met up at the goat on a daily basis, drank Colt 45 in the square that we got from R&W, had a house account at North Carolinas so I could feed myself and all my friends when we were out of cash, loved the General Store and cried when it shut down, was scared of the Taney kids but even more scared of Main Line kids, had epic snowball fights in the square on snow days, hung out in the grave yard off if south street after school and knew all the doormen on the square and the cashiers at the Wawa in the Doorchester. Does that count??? And does ANY of that counteract the fact that I drive a friggin minivan and live in the burbs now???
