Ok guys. Everyone keeps asking for my kale shake recipe. So here it is. Im going to add all the people here I can think of who have asked me for it and some who may be interested. Tag yourself in the picture and it will be in your pictures for quick reference. I use a 6 quart blender so you may need to reduce or increase the amounts to make up for the difference in size. It is very easy and you can add different fruit to change the flavor. This is just the one I keep bringing to work: Ingredients: 2 1/2 cups of your favorite 100% juice. I use 1 1/2 cup apple and 1 cup mango juice mix. Just make sure it is 100% juice. 4 bananas, frozen. Buy them and put them away until they become spotted, take off the peels and freeze them 4 large, 7 medium, or 10 small strawberries, once again, frozen. Cut off the tops before you freeze them or its a pain to deal with them. 1 apple. Any kind. I use Fuji or ambrosia. Ambrosia is better. Dont freeze apples. 1 bunch of kale. Or 1 package of kale. I like to use 1 frozen mango when I can, but it is optional. Put the juice in the blender. Take the kale off the stalks and fill the blender with it. Push it down a few times to pack it in there. The more the better. *VERY IMPORTANT* Blend on the highest setting for 2-3 minutes with only the juice and the kale. The kale must puree or you will get little annoying pieces of kale in there and it will ruin the texture. After blending for 2-3 minutes on the highest setting, add the apple then strawberries, then half a banana at a time, giving 45 seconds between banana halves to allow for the bananas to puree, then add the mango. Let it blend for 1-2 minutes more after youve added all the ingredients. If fruit gets stuck on top due to being too thick, just turn your blender off then back on. This should get it to suck the fruit down. Enjoy and be more healthy!
