Ok guys many of you have been asking about the possibility of snow tomorrow night and I have been holding off on an update because I pride myself on being as accurate as possible. The current setup looks to be a classic northwest flow snowfall event where those in the high mountains stand a much better shot at accumulating snowfall, but snow showers will be possible into the valleys of WNC. We could even see a few locations pick up a quick .5-1. The most favorable areas will be those closest to the Tenn/NC border but I expect to see some flakes flying downtown and even farther south. Possibly even to the airport and Henderson Co. but the farther south you go, the less likely accumulation will be. Look for flakes to begin falling sometime late tomorrow night and continue into mid morning Tuesday in the higher elevations. All and all some high mountains could pick up a quick 3+ but those totals will remain above 4000. Sorry for the late update on this, I have been extremely busy and have not felt so great about the chance for flakes but models continue to trend wetter so a shot at seeing flakes is certainly there. Northwest flow snowfall is one of the most difficult things to predict so a chance for a surprise exists but there is also good bust potential. The ground temps are favorable for these flakes to stick if they fall heavy enough so be careful on certain roadways because temps will dip into the high teens on Tuesday morning! Enjoy the flakes but dont expect more then a dusting to just under an inch!
