Ok guys, remember Mokie?! He has been at the Agoura shelter since JULY!!! Hes been homeless for 7 months and this is not okay. He needs our help and needs to be adopted asap. Sweet 8 year old Mokie was surrendered to us with another dog when his owner fell extremely ill. While Mokie has handled kennel life pretty well for a pittie, 7 months in a kennel is starting to take a toll on him. With that being said, as you can see from this video (taken today), he still loves to party. Three of his favorite things include snoozing in the real room, zooming around the big grass yards, and tearing apart stuffies. This #elderbull is awesome and is a shelter FAVORITE. Sadly, Mokies time at the shelter may be nearing so he really needs out. I know there is a perfect home out there for this guy. Mokie is pretty well-balanced, knows basic commands, is a joy to walk on leash, and loves to cuddle and relax. While he can be reactive to other dogs (i.e. barrier frustration which is so common in kennels), he lived with another dog and is very relaxed around certain pups at the shelter; because of this, I would say that while he absolutely has the potential to be in a multidog home, the intros will need to be done slowly and safely. Mokie was raised around small children, is housebroken, and loves car rides. Mokie just needs a couch and a home to call his.
