Ok, have always been afraid of yeast...BUT now I have made these 30 minute rolls 3 times and every time they worked! I am still getting the hang of making the rolls look nice but they worked! I put the yeast into my kitchen aid bowl with the sugar, oil, water and drove my son to ball practice and it was ready for the flour etc. when I got back. Here it is: 1cup plus 2T warm water 1/3 cup oil 2T active yeast 1/4 cup sugar 1 1/2 tsp salt 1 egg 3 1/2 cups bread flour( can also use all purpose) *i did end up adding about 3 more T of flour at the end...guess it depends on the flour? Heat oven to 400 degrees. Pour water into mixer bowl. Add oil, sugar and then sprinkle yeast over the liquid. Dont stir.let rest for 15 minutes. Using dough hook mix in salt, egg and flour. Knead with dough hook for a few minutes until dough is smooth and soft. Form into 12 balls, place on greased pan and rest for 10 minutes. Bake for 10 minutes. Again depends how golden you like your rolls! ( I also used dough for cinnamon buns...worked again! Yay!)
