Ok health nut people, riddle me this. Its morning, I am staring at the cereal in our pantry. Im craving the best cereal since spoons were invented, aka Fruity Pebbles. But the health guy in me (or maybe just my wife) keeps saying, NO. Do the healthy thing and go for Natures Path Organic Pumpkin Flax Granola. The very name makes me want to sell my stomach and tongue for robot parts. So for fun, I compare the nutritional facts. The granola has more than double the calories (260 vs 110), including more calories from fat (90 vs 10), more poly, mono and saturated fat, more sugar, more carbs and less vitamins than my beloved Fruity Pebbles. The only thing FP has more of than this box of chopped up cardboard is sodium, and yes, its a good deal more (140mg vs 45 mg). Oh, and FP has no fiber unlike the poop inducing granola, but thats only 5 grams. So, anyone wanna explain exactly why its a better choice?
