Ok here are my thoughts on Ebola. I have been developing a policy - TopicsExpress

Ok here are my thoughts on Ebola. I have been developing a policy for the company I am working for and it is spread by droplet infection! Which is the reason for the masks and goggles. Droplets are spewed out your mouth and nose when you cough, no not actually not airborne but is in the air and falls from coughing and sneezing! American hospitals and nurses are ill prepared for this! Most hospitals only have 1-2 isolation rooms that have their own ventilation systems! The fact this mimics the flu so closely is extremely worry some, especially in light of the costs of the isolation garb one must wear, and the fact every flu patient will have to be treated as an Ebola patient! This will literally bankrupt hospitals etc since they now get limited payments through Obama care! And at last we currently have a Normal Saline shortage, which is indeed worry some in the light of just the flu, let alone Ebola! I am disgusted at the fact our Federal government is failing to protect both citizens and healthcare workers. Unfortunately much exposure will fall on the police, fire, EMTs, and healthcare workers. Why because they make the initial contact prior to even knowing what is wrong! So for all of you that are out there thinking no big deal, I do nothing to create exposure to Ebola, Im not a risk think again! Ask yourself, did that Nurse that is caring for me come in contact with a Ebola patient? Did that Police Officer that stopped me for speeding come in contact with an Ebola patient? No Im saying do not panic, but dont live with your head in the clouds! Demand our State and Federal government do the right thing by stopping international flights from Ebola stricken areas! It might just save someone you love!
