Ok here goes. People who know me know that Im generally a rational and somewhat logical person but something happened to me last night as I was leaving work that makes me question that. I was in the parking lot at 10 pm getting ready to mount my motorcycle when I noticed a ball of white light moving in a large circular pattern about 500 feet in the sky. As I watched this ball of light I noticed that there were in fact a total of 4 balls of light that were rotating in a large circle at a high rate of speed. As the 4 balls of light rotated they would at some point converge to the center of the pattern until they met in the middle and become one light and then they would emerge and split back into the 4 balls and continue outward in a symmetrical way until they reached the outside if the pattern. This would repeat itself over and over again. The symmetry was so precise that what ever was causing this had to be mechanical. I figured someone on the ground was having some fun and I tried photographing this event but unfortunately, it was too dark for the video option to work. Next I tried taking still shots and had a problem with the speed at which the balls of light were moving but finally managed to get one picture as the balls of light were close to impact. The picture doesnt do justice to the actual clarity of the lights. Nevertheless, I didnt really think much more about it until I started my motorcycle and started home. Then as I travelled a few miles away on I65 I noticed the lights were still above me and off to my left. Only after turning off onto the outer loop ramp did they finally disappear. Probably a really simple explanation to explain this event but it did get me to thinking. Now Im ready for all the smartass remarks. Lol
