Ok, heres a question to all you wise ones! How do you define loading? Pulled over on a double yellow line with my van, leaving my 15 yr old kid seated in the front passenger seat. A traffic warden is right in front of me standing on the pavement looking at me, I thoroughly ignored him. I walk into a convenience store and walk out literally 30 seconds later holding a bottle of diet coke in my hand. To my amazement there is the same warden in front of my van writing out a ticket. What are you booking me for was my honest question? Double yellow lines he answered. Not double yellow, I replied, it says that this is a loading bay on the sign just there I replied. Exactly he replied, you havent loaded anything he continued yes I have I argued back You going crazy or what he replied No ure the crazy guy I answered back Cant you see, I loaded a bottle of coke I told him Buying a coke does not constitute loading he replied. Loading is carrying stuff into the van he continued. Exactly I carried a bottle of coke I replied..... I intended to load 17 boxes full but the store has none in stock, I replied so the intention was to load a larger load than I actually did load I replied......however I did load! The warden shook his head which was obviously empty, and put his toy away and I never got the ticket......Now thats success in life! :) According to my kid I was a Bl****y idiot! according to me I was a genius! :)
