Ok, heres the latest song reveal by The Smashing Pumpkins. A bit of a grower this one. Its not going to grab you by the head and fling you across the room or chuck you onto a rocket and blast you to the moon. What I can say is there is a genius hook/swagger/beat that repeats throughout that makes the song a little more special. The vocals in the outro piece are also very reminiscent of some b-sides from the MCIS era. What I do want to say is that its different but the same and for some, this song may rely on your faith for the band to pull you through and for others it will be another extension of this band. As a fan I think its ok to say a song is perhaps just ok but I do believe the melodies are super hooky so its above ok. It will most likely sit nicely in the album amongst the other tunes. Note: After the Goth-fused Metal grind of Tiberius I think I was duped into anticipating something different. I tricked myself... Verdict: I like it and after multiple play throughs I like it more...and the hooks are super cool and there are a few. I particularly like BCs vocals a lot at the end of the song. :) youtu.be/joiuxYG1tro
