Ok, heres where My version of reality and this guys version diverge. Im happy this person, Pat if you will, got a college degree. Im happy, really, if that was his choice and thats what he wanted to do I really am happy he got his wish. But to presuppose that he got a college degree entitles him to college degreed job that pays college degreed pay then thats where I believe his entitlement is just way off base. I have two college degrees One in Psychology and One in Philosophy, and I often kid that entitles me to a job in a drive thru window being empathetic and and pondering why in this existential universe did I think client wanted a Diet Coke instead of a Dr. Pepper...cause thats all I can expect from those two degrees that I CHOSE to get. Now if this person had an BS in Electrical Engineering Id be miffed but does he expect an entry level Business Degreed job with a BA in Womens Studies??? So I made bad choices worth big money (student loans) somebody give me a job...Isnt his choice to earn an uncompetitive degree in an overly competitive job market proof enough not to hire them??? Im just sayin....
