Ok, i get it. We are Africans and death is rarely talked about? An old cliche. An advise to a man as regards writing a will is wishing him death in this part of the world. We are superstitious and medieval in thinking! The melee of political social media fight have rubbed off our sense of proper thinking. Take for instance a master degree holder telling his listeners that being illiterate is a non issue. It is worthy of note that an article that was supposed to celebrate the APC did not mention its presidential candidate, but rather celebrated the speech by their vice-presidential candidate, Hilarious.... Little wonder Africa is largely seen as a place not inhabited by human beings, proper human beings. Do you want to sound politically correct or do you want the truth? I am a Senior Advocate of Truth (SAT). I dont know about you I had a father who was sick since 2004. It started with avoid so so food- eat healthy, take food supplements and all the Mede Medes because your organs are getting weaker, therefore, you need a booster. He was not sick of anything. His body gets weaker due to age. At first, he goes for medical check up by himself whenever he feels like (it was not regular because it freaks him out), as the years goes by, he had to be accompanied for his check up by someone and it became more regular than before. Then finally, he had to buy a bed at the hospital. This is pure common sense. It is not strange for us that the body of an 89 year old was worse than it was in 2004. Law of diminishing return. I am not being emotional here, just laying a background. My dad was not sick of anything, he was simply old. If at 73, you think you can run or walkout better than a 50 year old healthy person then you are lying to yourself. Is it not medically noticed and approved knowledge that as we age, our bodies depreciate. At 73, people use a lot of booster and food supplements to keep the body and mind together. Assuming without conceding that you use none because God was kind to you, it is still uninspiring for you to think you can move swiftly more than a 50 year old. At my age, my nieces and nephew beat me in race how much more a 73 year old. So Fayose decided to say what people had in mind but could not say because they want to be politically correct rather than being truthful and you have a problem with that as an African? You forget that a reasonable 73 year old man would quickly draft a will or a codicil assuming there needs to be a change. He does this not because he wishes himself death it because he understands the word average death rate. Quit lying to yourselves. If an average 73 year old man is conscious of the fact that death may come calling soon, why do you abuse a man who spoke out and reminded you about the likely inevitable event?
