Ok, if I am being told my my sons Kindergarten teacher that I cant opt my son out of the state testing in a few weeks, then how come the 14th Amendment of our Constitution says otherwise? 14th Amendment Amendment XIV Section 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside. No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws. Liberty - the state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on ones way of life, behavior, or political views. OR he power or scope to act as one pleases. individuals should enjoy the liberty to pursue their own interests and preferences synonyms: freedom, independence, free rein, license, self-determination, free will, latitude personal liberty So the 14th Amendment says that its my Liberty to to be free from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority (my sons school) on my way of life. It also states that they would be infringing on my liberty and freedom of choice, and my own interests. My own interests and liberty are to not have my child take these tests! Am I right, or am I wrong???
