Due to an influx of non-US citizens who have tried to sign up, we are now requiring a valid government-issued photo ID from all new authors, such as a state-issued drivers license or ID card, US passport, permanent resident card, or military ID. You can send a digital photo or scanned copy using one of the methods below: Because we are sensitive to concerns about identity theft, you may black out all information on the document except your name, birth date, document expiration date, and photo. Once we have processed this information, we will rate your writing sample within 1-3 business days, after which you will receive an email letting you know that your sample has been rated. You may then begin writing at your convenience.
