Ok kids! I gots 2 movie reviews for you! 2 movies that I really couldnt wait to see! Gonna keep it simple so I dont give away anything, in case you want to see either of these films, cause Ive got a HEART, G*D DAMMIT!! 1. MALEFICENT - Not exactly a re-telling of Disneys animated classic Sleeping Beauty but along the same lines. This live action version starring Angelina Jolie, tells the story of the good forest Queen, Maleficent, and the events that lead up to her casting an evil spell on King Stephans newborn princess Aurora. I really enjoyed this movie and the twist in the story. SPOILER: In the commercials they lead you to believe that Maleficent is evil but she is actually the good guy. Not gonna say much more. Visually this movie is fantastic! DEFINITELY a big screen movie full of effects. The action scenes are really cool but there are some scenes that slowed the action up a bit. I wasnt very happy with the 3 fairys and some of the throw away characters living in the woods ( Happy Meal toys) but from the very beginning all the way to Auroras baptism and curse (FANTASTIC scene) are really well done and very entertaining as is the ending, Maleficents wings AND the DRAGON! (Different from the animated film.) In my opinion, this is totally Angelina Jolies movie and she did a great job with the character. Aurora, Elle Fanning, was.....ok. Its running time is 90mins and really shouldnt scare kids. I would recommend this movie and will probably see it again. 2. A Million Ways To Die In The West. - I am a big fan of Seth McFarland. I love Family Guy, I loved TED, I like American Dad and I couldnt wait to see this new comedy and let me tell you, I was so disappointed! It tells the story of this good hearted sheep herder/loser Albert, Seth McFarland, who falls in love with the wife, Charlize Theron, of the most feared outlaw in the wild wild west, Liam Neeson. Neeson finds out and comes to kill Albert. Thats it! There are some good laughs in this but they dont last and the film basically becomes a reason for McFarland to say F*CK and curse a lot. If you know me you know I dont mind that kind of language but there was so much cursing for no reason that it just became annoying. Now if it was Robert Deniro or Samuel L. Jackson cursing, it would be cool, but not from McFarland or Brian the Dog. Every time McFarland speaks all I see are his Family Guy characters. There were some characters that were really funny but didnt get enough to do. Sarah Silverman plays a popular whore who gives it away to everyone BUT her fiance because shes saving herself for him on theyre wedding night, and anything will Neil Patrick Harris with his shirt off is fine by me! Its running time is 116 mins but it felt a helluva lot longer! If you really want to hear someone cursing, send me $15 and I will call you and curse the sh*t out of you! Youre Welcome !
