Just like there was no word to describe the philosophical stance of eating flesh until Melanie Joy created carnism, There was also, until now, no term that meant the exact opposite of veganism. I present to you, malzoan(ism) Malzoan (-ism) From the Latin malus (bad) and the Greek zôion (animal) with the suffix -an (adhering to or following; an adherent of) = literally, somebody who is bad to animals (-ism = the philosophy thereof). Definition: A speciesist who condones, promotes, or actively engages in non-human animal exploitation, enslavement, rape, torture, murder, consumption, and commodification. Antonym: vegan (-ism)
