Ok, last time I promise! How about if I put it like this?...... I, David James Urwin, would like to bring to your attention the fact that using sound logic, you might as well purchase a copy of the tome ‘Everything Will Work Out in the Long Run’, of which I am the autheur (French for author.) This makes perfect sense because it costs £8.99, plus £2 p&p, for a signed copy. If you really scour your brain, although I may possibly be getting a little presumptuous about your life here, you can probably think of several occasions when you have spent this amount on something that ended up being inconsequential in altering the course of your life; perhaps a mediocre takeaway meal, a mediocre CD, a mediocre night at a mediocre cinema watching a mediocre film. What’s more, I can bet that there will be plenty more times when things like this will happen in the future. What is the point of this observation? Well, to highlight the fact that buying this book couldn’t be such a horrendous mistake that it will have catastrophic implications upon your life. In fact it may be the total opposite of a mistake. Furthermore, it may be the biggest take you’ll ever make. Who knows? So, today is not a day for playing it safe. Would you rather be in Communist Russia, surrounded by drab, grey architecture as the snow gently falls and an old man with a hacking cough shelters in a doorway with a bottle of vodka barely concealed in a brown paper bag, or to be on a sunny beach in the Isles of Scilly? Today is a day to take a risk. But why this particular risk and not one of countless others you could take? Because I had the nerve to ask. What is the book about anyway? Well by now you’ll already have made up your mind whether or not you want to find out.
