Ok, local friends! Each of my kids had basically the same first birthday cake, just different colors. I have loved this tradition and have looked forward to continuing it with MinLans first cake. Tears when I learned that our sweet friend that made all of these is moving and unable to make MinLans. I dont know why this is so important to me but it is. There are so many traditions that we were unable to do with MinLan, that this is one we COULD do....I guess it just reminds me of all the loss surrounding adoption....
