Ok made substantial progress on my presentation! Im hoping it gets the point across! It will make finishing the 25 page final paper easier! This process has indeed made me question what I want to do with my life. I was contemplating leaving because I was sure I had made a mistake! I cant say have enjoyed this process this far. But I know it can pay off! Some of my happiest times was when I was pregnant with Rhyann and I did research on depression and birth outcome among black and white women. It was so wonderful!! I fell in love with research and what it could do for communities. Though I am stressed, not sleeping, going through financial strain and losing weight... I feel there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I just sat doing this presentation for 9 hours. Im dedicated and I want to help my community. Everyone does things their own way, research and programs will be mine. I know the struggle..despite what is seen on the outside, my passion and relation to certain topics that impact communities hit home for me..why? Because I lived it! People do research on people like me and now its my turn to put my stiletto in the ring! My presentation on drug use during pregnancy has truly lit the fire in me..after having one of the worst couple months of my life Im still here, alive and enthusiastic for what is to come!
