Ok, my friends...You all know that Im always helping people out and my efforts never stop. Ive just been updated on a family that is, literally, 3 doors down from my house that has hit a bad turn of events. Their vehicle was stolen and he came over to make me aware that because my vehicle is the same model (Explorer) that I might want to be sure that I keep it locked up (which I normally do anyway before bedding down for the night). Anyway, while chatting with him, I found out that his wife is 4 months pregnant (and they have 3 children ranging from 12 down to 6). Both parents lost their jobs because of the transportation issue. They barely have any food in the house, rent needs paid for November and December ($1,600) and they may need some help with utilities for the month. Electricity gets cut off tomorrow and I am trying to remedy that issue myself right now. I am also looking to see if anyone would be willing to donate a vehicle to them or if we could pool together to help buy a cheap vehicle. Doesnt have to be nice but at least have heat and be reliable so that they can get to work. The bus transports the kids to and from school so all is good there. Ive given them food from my own pantry and freezer and will be helping monetarily but wanted to see is anyone would be willing to participate. Any takers? Anything would help...he stated his wife cried because I gave the food today. Its just how neighbors should be...willing to help. Im asking for help on their behalf. I can provide an address to drop off donations to them. Youll see for yourself that they are good people. Their children play with my boys. If youre not comfortable showing delivering the items yourself, you can always go through me. I just cant stomach people being without especially during the holiday season.
