Ok, my turn, courtesy of Tina DeKraft Rust... 1. When I was 19 I hitchhiked from Virginia to Phoenix, by way of Vermont. 2. Ill eat absolutely anything, except Waldorf salad or Ambrosia. 3. I spent ten months working on an cattle ranch in the Australian outback. 4. My dad led the first and only background check ever done on a president or vice-president. 5. Harry Dean Stanton once proposed marriage to my mother. She said no. 6. I spent several months by myself touring Thailand on a motorcycle. 7. One of my college jobs involved driving a princess around Beverly Hills, often in a Rolls Royce, tho she requested we take the Mazzeratti Quatroporte when she wanted to be more low-key. 8. I can recite pi to fifty places. That represents the full extent of my math knowledge. 9. I have ancestors who owned slaves, and another family with seven brothers who fought on opposing sides in the Civil War. 10. Ive never seen a single episode of any hour-long TV drama series, from Hill Street Blues thru the Sopranos up to CSI. Theyre probably excellent; I just dont tune them in. 11. I love stand-up comedy. Franklin Ajaye and Dennis Miller make me howl, and I think Brian Regan is the funniest man on the planet. 12. Ive taken more than one million photographs of kids playing various sports.
