Ok, normally I don’t use the little carafe that came with my espresso machine. I have this huge cup that I just stick directly under the nozzle. A four shot plus cream and sugar will usually get my batteries charged. Today…(sigh)…today I forgot to put the cup underneath. I realized my mistake when I heard the familiar hissss of steam and looked over in time to see the first spray of my precious black medicine vaporizing into the drain. I got the cup into place before all was lost, but we Pros all know that the FIRST coffee is the BEST coffee. I seriously thought about draining the drip tray into my cup and going from there, but my kids were watching and we’re still trying to teach them not to eat off the floor. (Hey DHS that was a joke!) Too tired and/or lazy to make another batch, I mopped up the spillage and put some non-fat milk in my coffee flavored tea. Yeah, it’s gonna like that today…
